ArchiCAD 27 - Installs and Hotfixes How To -

This section covers how to install hotfixes to your ArchiCAD for the latest updates for ongoing issues. These instructions are universal for all ArchiCAD hotfix updates in the future.

Step 1:

Close all instances of ArchiCAD 27 on your computer. 

(Note: An instance of ArchiCAD is the number of ArchiCAD's your have opened at one time. In the screenshot attached below, you will see I have two instances of ArchiCAD 27 open, and 1 instance of ArchiCAD 26. To close the instance, right click on the ArchiCAD icon, and QUIT. If there is a black dot underneath the icon, that means that program is open)

Step 2:

Go to your finder window and follow the following file path:

Shared - ArchiCAD - ArchiCAD 27 - Installs and Hotfixes - Archicad-27.2.1-Hotfix-USA.dmg

(Note: We use the same respective file path for all ArchiCAD versions. If you were to go to ArchiCAD 26, there would be an Installs and Hotfixes folder as well, etc.)

Step 3:

Download the latest hotfix and double click on the .dmg file. A prompt box will appear and you will go through and hit the "Next" button until it is completed. See attached images below for installation sequence.

Double click on the ArchiCAD 27.2.1 Hotfix icon and it will launch the Installation Wizard.

After you double click on the icon, this dialog box will pop up. Put in your password for your computer to continue the downloading process.

This is the Hotfix Installation Wizard. Go through and hit the "Next" button until it begins to download and then hit finish.

Step 4:

You are almost done! Close out of the Installation Wizard and restart your machine. Then you are good to go!

Quick note: If you get into a file and it says that your build number is higher than the previous version of ArchiCAD, go head and continue. This will make sure that everyone will be on the same higher updated ArchiCAD.
